Hello everyone! My name is Camila Ruiz. I am 24 years old and I am Peruvian– born and raised in Lima, the capital of Peru.
I’ve always loved to talk, to ask questions and to listen. Sometimes my mom would tell me politely to please shut up. So when it was time for me to decide what career I will be studying at University my first and only option was Communications.
I entered this amazing career when I was 16, just fresh out of high school. I fell in love with all my courses and graduated in five years. When I had my bachelor’s degree in hand I didn’t know what to do next. Well, I did–I knew I needed to get a job. After three months of searching, I landed a job in the Learning Department of Banco de Credito del Peru.
But I wasn’t feeling complete. I still had a dream that wasn’t fulfilled. This dream is one of my passions: travelling. I always wanted to live abroad but because I was very young my parents wouldn’t let me.
2019 was a perfect time. So here I am. Living abroad in Toronto, Canada. Fulfilling one of my long- lasting dreams and pursuing a specialization in PR – Corporate Communication at Seneca College.
